Mattresses or beds are not just a place to rest. In reality, we can do many things in bed. Chat, write, play gadgets, to eat sometimes can also be done on the bed. The problem is, habits that are often considered trivial are actually not good for health.

Bad habits on mattresses that are often done

Health experts advise us not to carelessly do activities in bed to prevent health problems.

1.    Watch television on the bed

Many people intentionally place the television in the bedroom, making it easier to see while relaxing on the bed. This idea seems to be quite fun to do, right? Unfortunately, health experts say watching television on the bed is not wise to do.
Although it can make us watch television before going to bed or accompanying our nighttime sleep if we are alone, this habit will actually make us experience sleep disorders. Exposure to a television screen can affect the balance of the hormone melatonin which affects the quality of our sleep.

If we turn on the television before going to sleep, then the production of this hormone will be disrupted so that it will not make us sleepy. If we turn it on while sleeping, we also won't be able to sleep well, wake up often, or not even be able to close our eyes again. When you wake up, your body will certainly feel not fit and not fit.

Placing the television in the bedroom will also make us tend to be lazy to move for a long time. In fact, lack of movement can trigger the arrival of various health problems such as obesity , diabetes, and others.

2.    Play the cellphone on the bed

Many people casually play cellphones on mattresses, including before going to bed at night. Indeed, this is quite fun to do because it can make us check social media or joke with friends through a conversation application, but according to health experts, this habit can make it difficult to sleep.

Like television, exposure to the mobile screen will disrupt the production of the hormone melatonin and disrupt the circadian rhythm. We will not be easily sleepy and increasingly interested in playing cellphones even though it is late at night.
If we put the cellphone on a mattress or close to a bed during a night's sleep, its electromagnetic radiation is also feared to cause adverse health effects, including in terms of increasing the risk of various diseases.

3.    Eat on the bed

Even though we are really lazy or want to relax, we recommend that you don't eat or snack on the bed. This is caused by food crumbs that will fall on mattresses, pillows, bolsters, or blankets. These crumbs will invite cockroaches, ants, or other insects that can bite us during sleep and ultimately disrupt our sleep time.

4.    Work on a mattress

Many people choose to finish the work on the bed so they can rest immediately after completing it. Unfortunately, this will actually make us more susceptible to insomnia. In addition, dirt from paper or computers that we place on the mattress will also make our mattresses dirty, filled with mold, or bacteria that can cause disease.

5.    Fight

Talking with your partner before going to bed is good to do, but if you fight, we will experience stress and eventually cause sleep disturbances. This can have a detrimental effect on fitness and health.
